Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Redesign the World LLC (“Redesign the World,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with Pixel Backrooms (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We currently design the App to avoid collecting personal information directly from players. The App does not require an account with us to play.

Depending on your device settings, App Store settings, and future App features, limited information may be processed in these ways:

• Information you choose to send us: If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message.
• Device, diagnostics, and crash information: Apple or other platform providers may provide crash logs, performance data, device type, operating system version, region, or similar diagnostics to help us improve stability.
• Purchase and App Store information: If the App includes paid downloads, in-app purchases, subscriptions, or refunds, Apple processes transactions and may provide us limited non-financial transaction records. We do not receive your full payment card information.
• Gameplay or settings data: The App may store game progress, settings, preferences, or scores locally on your device. If cloud saves, leaderboards, achievements, or similar features are added, related data may be processed by Apple Game Center, iCloud, or another platform service under that provider’s terms.

How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, protect, and improve the App; respond to support requests; debug crashes; prevent misuse; comply with law; enforce our terms; and manage App Store operations.

Advertising, Tracking, and Sale of Data

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use third-party advertising networks or cross-app tracking in the App. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request any necessary consent.

Third-Party Services

The App may interact with third-party platforms or services, including Apple App Store, Apple Game Center, iCloud, TestFlight, crash reporting, analytics, or payment systems. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If the App is later directed to children or collects information from children, we will update our practices to comply with applicable children’s privacy laws.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Support emails may be retained to manage follow-up, safety, legal, and business records.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

You can delete the App from your device at any time. You may also be able to manage App Store, Game Center, iCloud, diagnostics, purchase, and privacy settings through your Apple device or Apple account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about certain data practices. To make a privacy request, contact us using the email below. We may need to verify your request before responding.

California Privacy Notice

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly used under California privacy law. If our practices change, we will update this notice. California residents may contact us to request information about personal information we may have collected, request deletion, or exercise other applicable rights.

International Users

If you use the App outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Pixel Backrooms and related services provided by Redesign the World LLC. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial entertainment use on devices you own or control, as permitted by the applicable app marketplace rules.

Ownership

The App, including its gameplay, design, software, code, artwork, graphics, audio, text, names, branding, and other content, is owned by Redesign the World LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from the App except where law expressly permits it;
• sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, exploit, or commercially use the App without our written permission;
• cheat, automate, exploit bugs, interfere with gameplay, bypass security, or disrupt the App or related services;
• use the App for unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, infringing, or deceptive purposes;
• upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or content that violates another person’s rights;
• misrepresent your affiliation with Redesign the World or Pixel Backrooms.

App Store and Platform Terms

Your use of the App may also be subject to Apple App Store, Apple Media Services, Game Center, TestFlight, or other platform terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory platform terms, the platform terms control only to the extent of the conflict.

Purchases and Refunds

If the App includes purchases, subscriptions, or paid features, transactions are handled by the applicable app marketplace. Refunds, billing, cancellation, and payment issues are governed by the marketplace’s rules unless the law requires otherwise. We do not control marketplace payment processing.

Updates and Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, discontinue, or remove any part of the App at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device, or supported indefinitely.

User Content and Feedback

If you submit feedback, ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or other content to us, you grant Redesign the World LLC a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, publish, and commercialize that submission for any purpose without compensation to you.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Redesign the World LLC and its owners, members, officers, employees, contractors, partners, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, device issues, service interruption, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to the App or these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the three months before the claim arose or ten U.S. dollars.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Redesign the World LLC and its owners, members, officers, employees, contractors, partners, and affiliates from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person’s rights.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or related services if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, or used the App in a harmful or unlawful way. After termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. You and Redesign the World LLC agree to resolve disputes in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires a different venue.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
